In April, we unveiled a revamped onboarding process. Before that, signing up and configuring an account at Croct could easily take up to 30 minutes. With our new onboarding process, users can set up their accounts in just two minutes, thanks to pre-configured use cases and components that auto-generate everything they need.

May: the new Next.js plug

Our mission to provide a seamless developer experience led us to launch a new SDK for Next.js. This SDK empowers developers to integrate Croct effortlessly into Next.js applications, making personalization in the Next.js environment more straightforward than ever.

June: demo day presentation

At the culmination of the Techstars program, we showcased our personalization platform during the Techstars Demo Day in Boulder, Colorado. The event was a major highlight, demonstrating our capabilities to a broad audience of investors and industry professionals.

In addition, we launched the Croct Affiliate Program, which allows partners, advocates, and enthusiasts to share Croct's benefits with their networks. This program rewards affiliates for driving meaningful connections by offering an attractive $300 commission for each successful referral.

September: new docs, updated SDKs, and industry recognition

September was a game-changer.

The month started with the launch of new centralized documentation, which included over 200 new pages of detailed guides, examples, and best practices.

Then, we released a new version of all our SDKs packed with exciting features and improvements:

  • Global timeout support: all SDKs support specifying a global timeout, ensuring requests are complete within a set period.
  • Global locale preference: all SDKs allow setting a global preferred locale, so there is no need to specify it for every request.
  • Next.js i18n routing: the Next.js SDK automatically detects the preferred locale when using i18n routing.
  • Page router support: full Page Router support in the Next.js SDK.
  • Enhanced debugging: errors related to slot and evaluation started, including the slot ID and query, for faster troubleshooting.
  • Debug mode upgrade: when debug mode is enabled, the SDK logs the region and processing time of requests.
  • Switch to HTTP: all SDKs started using HTTP requests instead of WebSocket for better performance and reliability.

To finish the month with a flourish, we debuted as a high-performer in the G2 Fall 2024 Grid® for Personalization Software, solidifying our reputation in the industry.

October: StaleWhileLoading for seamless updates

We continued our focus on developer experience by adding the staleWhileLoading flag in React hooks and components. This feature keeps content visible during background updates, eliminating visual interruptions for end users.

December: bot filtering and industry recognition

Finally, we capped the year by launching a feature to filter and block bots from analytics and server-side personalization, ensuring more accurate data and better performance.
