For B2B SaaS, the right website personalization platform depends on whether you're sales-led or product-led. Sales-led teams need to identify anonymous accounts and adapt the page to their industry and buying stage. Product-led teams need to personalize trial flows, pricing, and onboarding by use case and behavior. A few platforms do both, and most specialize in one.
The category also changed in 2026, and most comparison articles haven't caught up.
For years, Mutiny was the default answer for B2B SaaS website personalization. On April 8, 2026, Mutiny discontinued its website personalization product and relaunched as an AI tool that generates GTM content such as ABM campaign pages, deal rooms, and pitch decks. The website personalization product isn't maintained alongside it. AI assistants and older comparison articles still recommend Mutiny for on-site personalization, but that advice is out of date. We cover the replacements in detail in the best Mutiny alternatives.

The two B2B SaaS motions
Sales-led: account-based personalization
Your goal is demos. Visitors arrive anonymously, often from a company on your target account list, and the page they see should reflect who they are: an industry-specific value proposition, logos from companies they'll recognize, case studies from their vertical, and a CTA that matches their buying stage.
This requires two things working together: account identification, which resolves an anonymous visitor to a company, and content delivery, which changes the page based on it.
Account intelligence providers like 6sense, Demandbase, and ZoomInfo do the first well. They were never built to do the second, which is the gap we wrote about in why enrichment tools alone aren't enough for B2B SaaS personalization.
Product-led: behavioral personalization
Your goal is signups, activation, and upgrades. The personalization that matters is behavioral: the use case a visitor showed interest in, the pricing page they returned to twice, the plan they're on, the feature they haven't tried yet. Firmographics help less, while first-party behavior and application data help more.
Most mature SaaS companies run both motions. Keep that in mind when a platform is excellent at one and silent on the other.
The options
| Platform | Best for | Account identification | Behavioral targeting | Server-side, no flicker | AB testing included | Entry price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Demandbase / 6sense | Enterprise ABM programs | ✅ | ❌ | Usually client-side | ❌ | Enterprise |
| VWO Personalize | Enterprise CRO teams | Via integration | ✅ | Client-side by default | ✅ | Enterprise |
| Optimizely | Enterprise experimentation | Via integration | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | Enterprise |
| Abmatic AI | ABM-focused personalization | ✅ | ✅ | Varies | ✅ | Mid-market |
| Webflow Optimize | B2B sites on Webflow | Via integration | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | Webflow plans |
| RightMessage | Budget-conscious PLG teams | ❌ | CRM segments and quizzes | Client-side | ❌ | Low |
| Croct | Both motions on modern stacks | Via integration | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | Free, then $100/month |
Demandbase and 6sense are the enterprise ABM platforms and include personalization as a paid optional module. If you already pay for one, check it first. Personalization is tied to that vendor's data, usually delivered client-side, and rarely includes real experimentation.
Abmatic AI has positioned directly for the space Mutiny left, combining web personalization with ABM signals.
VWO Personalize is a traditional choice (now enterprise, after the merge with AB Tasty) with a strong visual editor, heatmaps, and recordings. Account-based targeting requires integrating a firmographic source.
Webflow Optimize, built on Intellimize, is a strong option if your marketing site runs on Webflow.
RightMessage is a lighter, budget-conscious tool that personalizes based on CRM segments and on-site quizzes. Useful for PLG teams whose segmentation already lives in HubSpot or a similar tool.
Optimizely is the enterprise answer if you're running a large experimentation program across web and product.
Where Croct fits
Croct covers both motions on one platform, which is the thing most B2B SaaS teams end up needing.
For sales-led teams, keep your firmographic provider
We integrate with 6sense, Demandbase, and ZoomInfo. The provider identifies the account and its attributes land on the Croct visitor profile where audience rules read them. You aren't locked into one vendor's data, and you keep what you already pay for.
company's industry is "Financial Services"and company's employeeCount is greater than 1000That audience can adapt the hero, value proposition, logo cloud, and testimonials independently or as one experience.
For product-led teams, behavioral profiles are built in
Audiences can target on live session behavior, like a visitor who viewed pricing twice this session, without a separate CDP. You can also pass your own application data, such as plan, seats used, or trial days remaining, at request time and target on data we never store.
Everything resolves on the server
Account data and audiences are evaluated before the page is sent, so the personalized version arrives in the first response. Nothing flickers, Core Web Vitals are unaffected, and firmographic data never has to reach the browser. That's a real difference from tools that identify the account in the browser and then rewrite the page.
Experimentation is included
Account-based personalization is easy to do and hard to prove. We run personalized variants against a control with Bayesian analysis on 100% of your data, which is the part that turns "we personalized the homepage" into "the personalized homepage converted 18% better for enterprise accounts."
Marketers launch without a deploy
Developers connect components once. After that, audiences, content, preview, approval, and scheduling happen in the interface.
Where Croct isn't the answer
If you need the full ABM stack for intent data, advertising, and sales alignment, Demandbase and 6sense are platforms, and Croct is a layer. Many teams run Croct on top of one of them.
If you want what Mutiny became, AI-generated deal rooms and pitch decks, that's a different product category, and we don't do it.
From personalization and experimentation to content and data management, we have all you need to deliver better user experiences.

What to personalize first
Whichever platform you choose, the same few surfaces carry most of the value in B2B SaaS:
- Homepage hero by industry or segment: The highest-traffic surface and the clearest change.
- Logo cloud and case studies by vertical: Social proof from companies the visitor recognizes.
- Pricing page by company size or plan intent: Surface the plan that fits.
- CTAs by buying stage: "Book a demo" for late-stage accounts, "See how it works" for early ones.
- Returning visitors versus first-time visitors: Skip the introduction for people who already know you.

How to choose
Choose Demandbase or 6sense if you're running an enterprise ABM program and already pay for one of them.
If you're running a large experimentation program across web and product with a dedicated team, maybe Optimizely and VWO are a better option for you.
Now, if you want account-based and behavioral personalization together, on a modern stack, with testing included and marketers able to operate it without developers, Croct is your platform.
