# The best Mutiny alternatives for website personalization

**Mutiny no longer sells website personalization.** On April 8, 2026, the company discontinued its personalization SaaS product and relaunched as an agent-first GTM content tool that generates ABM campaign pages, deal rooms, business cases, and pitch decks.

The company said it ran a traditional SaaS roadmap for the personalization product alongside the AI-native velocity it wanted for the new agent, creating two incompatible companies in one, so it chose the agent. This was a full product pivot, not a feature deprecation.

Plenty of comparison articles still list Mutiny as a current website personalization option. If you are evaluating from one of those, start here instead.

## What you are actually replacing

Mutiny personalized headlines, social proof logos, images, CTAs, and entire page sections based on the visitor's account, industry, company size, tech stack, location, and referral source, with no development dependency.

Four things made that work:

1. **Anonymous firmographic identification** to resolve a visitor to a company before they fill in a form.
2. **Audience targeting** to create segments based on industry, employee count, revenue, and buying stage.
3. **Content variation creation** without developer dependency, so marketers can change what an account sees without a deploy.
4. **Analytics and AB testing** to know whether the personalized version actually converted better.

## Start with the budget question

Mutiny was enterprise-only, commonly cited around \$25,000 a year and up. That single fact splits the replacement market in two, and most comparison articles skip it.

## The options

If you chose Mutiny because it let a two-person demand-gen team run without engineering, the enterprise replacements below are a different kind of purchase. Beyond the use case, check the entry price before you shortlist.

### ABM platforms with native personalization

**Demandbase** and **6sense** are the most common recommendations, and reasonable if you are already paying for one. Personalization is an optional module inside a larger account intelligence platform, priced accordingly, and usually tied to that vendor's own data.

> 💬 Time to market
>
> It is worth mentioning that we had some customers migrating from them to Croct due to technical issues and implementation delays.

**Abmatic AI** has positioned directly for the vacated slot, combining web personalization with ABM signals and deanonymization. Worth evaluating, and worth asking how long it has been operating given that this category just lost its leader.

### Experimentation and CRO platforms

**Optimizely** and **VWO** cover personalization alongside experimentation. Optimizely is the enterprise answer at a similar cost, while VWO is a mid-market option that offers personalization, heatmaps, and session recordings as optional paid add-ons. The recent merge with AB Tasty introduced some changes to the plan structure.

**Webflow Optimize**, built on the Intellimize acquisition, is a strong option if your site is on Webflow. Not relevant otherwise.

**Dynamic Yield** is frequently listed but is fundamentally e-commerce personalization. For B2B content and value propositions, it is a category mismatch.

### CMS and landing-page approaches

**HubSpot Content Hub** makes sense if your CRM and marketing data already live in HubSpot and you want native smart content. Since they acquired Clearbit a while ago, they're probably offering firmographic targeting by now.

**Prismic** and similar page builders are pitched for generating large volumes of ABM landing pages from ICP data. That solves a different problem: making many pages, rather than adapting the pages you already have to whoever arrives.

### Headless personalization platforms

**Croct** covers account-based website personalization with firmographic integrations, server-side delivery, and built-in experimentation, on whatever CMS you run. It goes beyond the ABM use case, at a lower cost.

## Why Croct fits

We didn't build Croct as an ABM tool. We built it as a server-side [personalization](https://croct.com/personalization) and experimentation platform for headless sites, covering what Mutiny did for the website, but with a different architecture underneath.

- **Firmographic data**

We integrate with [6sense](https://croct.com/integrations/6sense), [Demandbase](https://croct.com/integrations/demandbase), and [ZoomInfo](https://croct.com/integrations/zoominfo), so you can keep your firmographic provider. They identify the account and send the attributes to Croct [visitor profiles](https://croct.com/user-profiles), where audience rules read them. You are not tied to one vendor's data, and you keep whatever you already pay for.

- **Everything resolves on the server**

Account data is evaluated before the response is rendered, so the personalized page arrives in the first HTML response. Nothing flickers, Core Web Vitals are unaffected, and firmographic data never reaches the browser. That is a real difference from tools that identify the account client-side and then rewrite the page.

- **Marketers launch without a deploy**

Developers connect components to slots once, so the site can natively serve dynamic content. Audiences, content, preview, approval, and scheduling all happen in the interface afterward, which is the operating model that made Mutiny useful to lean teams.

- **Experimentation is included**

You can [AB test](https://croct.com/ab-testing) personalized variants against each other with Bayesian analysis across all your data. Account-based personalization is easy to do and hard to prove, so this is what lets you prove it.

- **Pricing starts at zero**

The free plan covers up to 10,000 monthly active users with no credit card, and [Growth starts at \$100 per month](https://croct.com/pricing). For teams priced out of Mutiny in the first place, that is the material difference.

### One caveat on timing

Firmographic providers take a moment to resolve a visitor, so account-level data is often unavailable on the very first pageview of a session. Plan account-based experiences to activate on subsequent pageviews and use campaign source, referrer, and location for the first impression.

This was true of Mutiny too, and any vendor claiming otherwise is worth questioning.

## Where Croct is not the answer

If you want what Mutiny is now, Croct isn't it. The new Mutiny generates GTM assets: deal rooms, business cases, pitch decks, ROI reports. Different category, and Mutiny still sells it.

If you need 1:1 microsites for named accounts as the primary motion, rather than personalizing your existing site, we also don't provide that.

If you need the full ABM stack with intent data, advertising, and sales alignment, Demandbase and 6sense are platforms, and Croct is a layer. Many teams run Croct on top of them.

## Getting started

The best part is that you don't need to commit if you want to give it a try. Integrating Croct usually takes a few minutes, so you can [create a free account](http://app.croct.com/signup) and learn more about it before deciding.
