# Product update: content preview

Preview links now cover more of your content. Besides previewing your experiences, you can also compare draft changes against what is live before you publish them and preview slot default and fallback contents.

## What's new

Until now, preview showed only experience and experiment content for a chosen audience. With this release, you can check slot edits and unpublished experience changes on your real site, without your users seeing them.

### Preview slot content

You can now see how a slot's content looks on your site while you edit it. In the preview options, under Content, pick the version to display:

- [Default content](https://docs.croct.com/explanation/content/slot-default-content): what the slot shows when no experience applies.
- [Fallback content](https://docs.croct.com/explanation/content/fallback-content): what the slot shows when content cannot be loaded.

Slot preview is available when you edit an existing slot. It does not appear while you create a new one.

### Preview drafts of active experiences

When you edit an experience that is already running, it now keeps two versions of its content:

- **Published**: the content your audience sees today.
- **Draft**: your changes that are not published yet.

Pick one in the preview drawer before you open the link. You can review your edits in the real application while your users keep seeing the live content.

### Preview widget

The widget in the bottom-right corner now shows whether you are previewing an experience or a slot. It also shows the content details, such as default, fallback, draft, or published, along with the audience and locale.

These updates are available in your workspace today. Open an existing slot or an active experience, generate a preview link, and choose the content you want to see.

Preview links stay valid for 24 hours. You can share them with anyone on your team, even people without a Croct account. For setup details and troubleshooting tips, check our [documentation](https://docs.croct.com/explanation/content/preview).
